I have a friend in CR! I have been talking to a realtor down there who is going to show me what a good investment the place is...yadayadayada. Anyway, he retired down there 6 years ago from Atlanta, started investing and then opened a restaurant/sports bar that the Ticos seem to really love. Apparently they love all things American, McDonalds, Wendy's, and this restaurant: Brad's Grille. I got more positive info about the Central Highlands, where San Jose is, and about the weather. San Jose is at 3500 ft altitude so it is less humid and less like being at the beach. He said the beach is tropical and just like Florida. Realtor dude says the weather is like San Diego and doesn't vary too much in temp. Mostly from 60-80 year round. We'll see.
