almost home
Yesterday as part of my program, "mi profesora" walked me in to San Jose. The school is in San Pedro, a suburb and about a 30 minute walk It was a study in human kind. I saw more black hair than I have ever seen in one place before. I also noticed that the Ticos like everybody else come in every size and shape. The women do, however, have bigger breasts and I mentioned that to my professor and she responded that many of them were "plastico" because it is a popular and cheap operation in Costa Rica. Who knew? Today was my last class and I am exhausted mentally from the work I have put into learning Spanish. I am glad I did it but I am certainly glad it's over. My learning Spanish is not over but I can now take a breath and learn at a more leisurely pace. No school tomorrow, maybe a little shopping. There is very little in the way of indigenous stuff except for coffee so taking things home is not as easy as in some places.
