I'm hoping that the Ticos (how Costa Ricans refer to themselves) are different enough in their culture and habits that I am challenged. It's not that I believe that things have to be hard to be worthy but I know that in the past when I have had to work at something I do better and stay engaged longer.
Yesterday I learned that homosexuality is a real no, no and that everyone stays in the closet and is encouraged to do so. That must be difficult for gay people.
I also learned that the Spanish word for wine is el vino, a masculine word and the word for truth is la veridad, a feminine word. Humm? Fact number 3: CR is not on Mountain time they are on Central time but they don't go into Daylight Savings time in April. Why do we still do that?
